This bespoke fitted wedding ring was designed to sit seamlessly alongside our client’s W&W engagement ring, forming a cohesive and beautifully balanced bridal set. We originally designed and crafted her pear-cut diamond solitaire engagement ring with a hidden halo, working closely with her now husband to bring his vision for her to life. This commission marked a new chapter in the story, collaborating directly with her to create a wedding band perfectly shaped to sit flush against the engagement ring.
With a clear love for brilliance, her brief was centred around maximising sparkle, we ensured that diamonds played a significant part in the design. To achieve this, we created a gently curved wedding band, carefully shaped to fit around the pear-shaped centre stone of her engagement ring. This contour allows the band to sit flush against the engagement ring, while ensuring each diamond remained fully visible from a bird’s eye view. Rather than being hidden beneath the setting, the diamonds are brought forward, capturing light from every angle and enhancing the overall radiance of the piece.
Crafted in platinum, the wedding band mirrors the setting of the engagement ring, creating a crisp and luminous foundation for the diamonds. Our client enjoys wearing mixed metals, and the combination of platinum and yellow gold brings a fresh, modern contrast to the set. Platinum’s naturally white tone enhances the brightness of the diamonds, while the warmth of yellow gold adds depth and softness, resulting in a balanced and highly wearable composition.
Proportion was key in designing this bespoke wedding ring. The diamond sizes were carefully selected to complement the engagement ring rather than compete with it. As with any bespoke eternity ring design, achieving the right balance between presence and wearability was essential. By matching the width of the original band and introducing slightly larger stones than a traditional wedding band might feature, we created a piece that holds its own while remaining harmonious within the set.
