This bespoke wedding ring was an especially meaningful commission as it was created for a returning couple whose engagement ring we had previously designed. Her engagement ring features a radiant-cut centre diamond held in a sculpted four-claw setting, framed by a refined hidden halo and diamond-set shoulders – a piece chosen for its brilliance, symmetry, and elegant architecture. Simon arrived with a capsule selection of wedding ring designs curated around what we anticipated she might like. Naturally, given that her engagement ring is set with round brilliant diamonds in a cut-down setting, both Simon and our client assumed a coordinating round brilliant wedding band would feel the most aligned. However, during the appointment she shared that she had always admired the clean geometry and mirror-like depth of Asscher cut diamonds and wondered whether her wedding ring could feature these instead.

To explore this idea, Simon met with them again, this time bringing an Asscher cut diamond band as an example. He explained the visual impact of step-cut diamonds beside her radiant-cut centre stone, discussed height and side-profile considerations, and recommended a shared-claw setting with the diamonds held low to ensure the closest and most comfortable fit alongside her engagement ring.

Once the design direction was confirmed, Simon sourced a beautifully matched line of Asscher cut diamonds, each selected for their symmetry, clarity, and tonal harmony to ensure both rings would sit together with a cohesive and refined aesthetic.

The finished wedding ring is a structured, luminous complement to her engagement ring, created through a collaborative process in which she was fully involved from start to finish.
