Every bespoke commission begins with a story, and Eliott’s was particularly special. He came to the W&W Jewellery studio with a clear vision, inspired by a costume ring his partner Aoidín often wore – a cherished piece with a distinctive wreath-like silhouette. While he was keen not to replicate it directly, he wanted the engagement ring to echo the organic shape and sentimental feel. As Aoidín is Irish, incorporating emeralds felt especially meaningful as a homage to her heritage as well as being a gemstone she naturally gravitates towards.

We began with a collaborative design session, sharing reference images to help translate the inspiration into something personal and enduring. Narell then hand-rendered a series of designs, exploring different gemstone arrangements and setting styles. Eliott chose a flowing composition of marquise-cut emeralds and diamonds, embracing the botanical feel he was drawn to.

The finished ring, set in warm gold, gently wraps around the finger in a natural leaf-like formation. Each stone is positioned to evoke lightness and movement, as though caught in a moment of gentle growth. It is a design that feels alive and unmistakably unique. A deeply considered piece full of personal symbolism.
