There is something wonderful about working with a client with a clear vision and an instinctive sense of elegance. For this bespoke commission, our client dreamed of creating a dress ring centred around a beautifully luminous button pearl – a pearl with presence, softness, and depth – framed by diamonds and accented with a pair of long, tapered baguette cuts. The intention was a ring that felt refined, sculptural and feminine, yet unmistakably modern.
Our role was to translate her vision into a piece that worked in perfect harmony with the proportions of her hand. Pearls demand thoughtful engineering: their height, shape and surface require a design that supports, protects, and complements. We began by exploring multiple design studies, experimenting with the geometry of the shoulders, the angle of the baguette diamonds, the width of the halo, and the lift of the setting. Every adjustment changed the character of the ring, and gradually the right balance revealed itself.
The final design is remarkable. The bespoke pearl and diamond halo dress ring features delicate swan-neck shoulders that sweep gracefully into a hidden tapered-baguette setting, allowing the diamonds to sit seamlessly beneath the pearl without interrupting the flow of the silhouette. A fine halo of micro-set brilliant diamonds surrounds the button pearl, catching the light with subtle sparkle and enhancing the soft, natural glow of the pearl itself. Crafted entirely in platinum, the structure is both elegant and enduring, made to be worn and admired for a lifetime.
The finished piece feels serene, luminous, and exquisitely proportioned. It reflects the design process we shared with the client – every preference, refinement and moment spent sketching and re-sketching. That collaborative process shaped a ring that is not only beautiful, but deeply personal.
A modern classic, created for a woman who understands the quiet power of simplicity and the sophistication of detail.
