This is the third bespoke signet ring we have created for this client. Designed as a special gift to honour their son’s milestone birthday, we previously made two others for their older sons, each created to mark their 18th birthdays.

The level of craftsmanship that goes into a bespoke signet ring of this calibre is remarkable. This ring was hand-engraved with the family crest in reverse, with incredible attention to detail. The fox’s individual hairs and delicate sprigs of grass have been meticulously captured; each line carefully etched by hand. Wax seal engraving, especially when done in reverse, is a rare skill in today’s world. It requires a steady hand and exceptional precision to produce such intricate detailing. Even the master engraver, a true artisan in his craft, remarked how pleased he was with the outcome – a sentiment we were thrilled to hear.

For this bespoke signet ring, the family expressed a preference for white metal. After discussing the options, we recommended platinum for its premium quality and durability, ensuring the ring will withstand the test of time.

Adding an additional personal touch to this custom-made signet ring, we engraved the son’s initials and date of birth on the underside of the ring’s head. A subtle yet meaningful touch which makes the piece even more special.
