Bespoke jewellery tells a personal story, and with this commission, that story was marking a milestone birthday and celebrating family and love. Having previously created a sapphire and diamond bespoke eternity ring for our client, he returned to us with a thoughtful idea for his wife’s 40th birthday. Instead of presenting her with a finished piece, he wanted to give her an experience – a chance to design her own custom jewellery with us at our Clapham studio. The occasion was doubly special, as it also marked their 10th wedding anniversary.
Inspired by the stacking rings in our current Jewellery Box Collection, she envisioned a design that would complement her existing eternity ring whilst also introducing new elements that reflected her personal style and family. The concept evolved into a beautifully curated ring stack; each piece beautiful alone but also harmonious when paired together.
We designed one of the rings to pair perfectly with a bracelet she already owned. Keen on the idea of a flush-set diamond band, we designed a ring featuring twelve round brilliant-cut diamonds, evenly spaced around the band for a refined yet understated sparkle, creating a seamless aesthetic across her jewellery collection.
The second ring was created to celebrate her family. Featuring alternating aquamarine and blue topaz gemstones to represent her husband and children, with three round brilliant-cut diamonds interspersed between the coloured gemstones. The soft blues and icy sparkle create a striking contrast with the warm gold of the band, whilst maintaining a timeless elegance.
This bespoke eternity ring stack is a beautiful example of how jewellery can evolve alongside life’s most significant moments. A blend of sentiment, style, and craftsmanship, the rings now sit alongside her original W&W creation, telling the story of love, life, and meaningful design.
