When this couple approached us to create their bespoke engagement ring, they knew they wanted a piece which truly reflected their love story. Although contact was initiated by him, the journey of this brown diamond bespoke engagement ring soon became a shared one.

Keen to create a bespoke design that felt uniquely theirs. The pair sought to personalise every detail – from selecting the perfect centre stone to collaborating with our jewellery designer on the design itself. During our initial consultation, we discussed their engagement ring inspirations, the designs they admired, as well as their likes and dislikes. A coloured gemstone or diamond was at the top of their wish list.

The next step was sourcing a selection of unique gemstones to realise their vision. We presented them with a stunning array of options, including yellow and green sapphires, as well as brown, yellow, and champagne diamonds. Amongst the selection, they were both drawn to a breath-taking brown diamond. This remarkable gem became the foundation for their bespoke design.

Inspired by a collection of our previous commissions, we sketched a design tailored to their particular tastes. The design featured the brown diamond at the heart balancing the stone with a halo of diamonds. The pair loved the design and we quickly moved from concept to creation.

As the ring neared completion, the final piece was kept under wraps. Although she had been deeply involved from the start, he wanted to keep the finished brown diamond bespoke engagement ring a surprise. This meant discreet arrangements to collect the ring without arousing suspicion – no small feat as she works from home! The effort was worth it, and his carefully planned proposal, surrounded by family, went beautifully.
