Recently, we had the pleasure of collaborating with a client looking to design a custom engagement ring with a difference.
The perfect oval diamond
Our client came to us with a variety of inspiration for his bespoke creation. During the first stage of our consultation process, Simon curated a selection of diamonds featuring various cuts, guiding him in towards the diamonds that most resonated. This approach opened the client’s eyes to the incredible range of diamonds available allowing him to choose the stone that felt right to him – a beautiful oval diamond.
Bringing personality to bespoke design
Beyond selecting the centre stone, the client expressed interest in enhancing the ring with distinctive details. Simon introduced the concept of a trefoil design, featuring two round brilliant diamonds flanking the oval centre stone. The final decision involved choosing between marquise or pear-shaped side stones. The client opted for pear-shaped diamonds, appreciating their elegant taper and the graceful graduation they provided to the design.
Making the bespoke dream a reality
With the design elements finalised, Narell, our experienced jewellery designer, translated the client’s ideas into beautifully detailed sketches, perfectly capturing his vision. Her expertise ensured that every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the balance of the stones, to the elegant proportions of the setting. The client chose to have the ring crafted entirely in gold, adding a timeless warmth to the design.

Our client proposed against the breathtaking backdrop of a sunset on the slopes of Kitzbühel, Austria. The couple celebrated this significant moment with a toast, marking the beginning of their exciting new chapter.
