We had the pleasure of meeting with our client to discuss a series of bespoke jewellery projects. During our consultation, we took the opportunity to explore her existing jewellery collection to understand her style and preferences. It was immediately clear that colour played a significant role, with vibrant and striking pieces standing out.
Our client expressed a desire to create a new pair of bespoke earrings. She was particularly drawn to designs featuring strong, clean colours and was open to incorporating mixed metals for added versatility. Inspired by an existing pair of her earrings, we set out to create custom-made cushion cut stud earrings with a detachable diamond set halo. The unique design would allow the halo to be worn with her existing earring studs as well, enhancing the overall versatility of her collection.
We began by sourcing a stunning rainbow of cushion-cut gemstones, including aquamarine, rhodolite garnet and orange sapphires, each with a high saturation of colour and uniform in size and shape. After presenting these options to our client, she chose a pair of vibrant cushion-cut peridots. This choice introduced a new and lively colour to her collection, while also reflecting the design of her beloved Tanzanite studs.
For the new bespoke earrings, we set the peridots in rich 18ct yellow gold, adding a touch of warmth to the design and enhancing the beautiful green of the gemstones. To ensure maximum versatility, we crafted the detachable diamond set halo in white gold. This thoughtful choice of materials ensures that the halo complements both the new peridot studs and her existing Tanzanite studs.
This project exemplifies the freedom bespoke jewellery provides, blending custom-made craftsmanship with the client’s unique taste for vibrant colours. The result is a truly unique and versatile pair of bespoke earrings that perfectly align with her style. This modern approach to custom-made jewellery ensures that each piece is not only beautiful but also adaptable to different looks and occasions.
