Our client, Tristan, reached out to us to create a bespoke engagement ring. He envisioned a design that was simple, timeless, but also unique and special, however was uncertain about what he wanted the final ring to look like.

Tristan visited our studio to meet with Simon, one of our expert bespoke jewellers, to discuss possibilities for the design and the bespoke jewellery process in detail. This consultation was pivotal in helping Tristan solidify his vision for the engagement ring. As he was undecided between a diamond or a sapphire as the centrepiece, we prepared a mood board to help him visualise his options.

After careful consideration, Tristan confidently decided on a bespoke three-stone engagement ring design with a central sapphire and diamond accents. He briefly considered expanding the design to a five-stone ring but ultimately chose to stick with the three-stone configuration to maintain the focus on the central sapphire’s beauty.

To find the perfect gemstone for the piece, we provided Tristan with a selection of sapphires. He was captivated by one stone in particular – an octagon-cut sapphire in a dark teal hue reminiscent of the sea. To complete the design, we showed him a collection of trapezoid and baguette diamonds for the side stones, allowing him to make an informed choice by seeing all the gemstones together. He decided on a platinum band to enhance the timelessness of the design, with the octagon-cut sapphire at the centre, complemented by two trapezoid diamonds on the shoulders.

The final piece is a stunning and unique bespoke engagement ring that perfectly embodies Tristan’s vision. He proposed to Ciara in Mallorca, a location new to them both as they were there training for an ultra-marathon. This custom jewellery piece not only symbolises their love but also their shared passions and experiences, making it a truly special and unique engagement ring.
