From his very first message, our client knew he wanted to create a three-stone yellow sapphire engagement ring centred around a vivid yellow-orange sapphire and framed by a pair of bright diamonds. Simon curated an image carousel to help him explore proportions, silhouettes and styles that might resonate. One design immediately stood out. With that direction in mind Simon sourced a beautiful selection of yellow sapphires and diamonds for our client to view in person.

The moment he saw the sapphire – a warm, golden stone full of life – he knew it was the one she would love the most. We paired it with two luminous round brilliant cut diamonds which offered the perfect balance of sparkle and scale. With the gemstones selected, the design process began. Narell created a scale sketch to bring the concept to life, followed by a detailed digital model to ensure every detail was exactly right, and then the ring was hand-finished by our goldsmith. His partner had always said she did not want a large ring, and we honoured this with elegant proportions and understated, beautifully considered design.

After the proposal, the couple returned to us to create their wedding rings – a moment that is always special for our team. He then reached out again with a new idea, to create a wedding-day gift for his fiancée. He imagined earrings that would echo the style of her engagement ring while remaining wearable long after the celebration.

Together they explored a number of concepts before landing on an elegant solution -diamond-set huggies with detachable yellow sapphire drops. The drops mirror the claw setting of the engagement ring, while the removable design offers versatility as they can be worn with or without the sapphire charm.
