Back in April we hosted an evening of rare and unusual gemstones to fellow jewellery lovers at our Clapham based studio. It was an honour to chat with so many fascinating people about the extraordinary collection of precious stones we had on display and learn more about some of the rarest.
Accompanied by a side of champagne and canapés, we guided our guests on a gemstone journey. The evening included fascinating stories and discussions with our incredible gemmological adventurer whose passion and knowledge shone through, followed by an opportunity to explore the potential for using the stones in incredible bespoke jewellery designs with our expert team.
There were over 100 gemstones on display and amongst the collection were several truly exquisite and unique stones that particularly caught our eye. These included beautiful black opals, some in exciting asymmetric cuts, a 5.5ct deeply saturated electric blue oval cut sapphire, a rare 4.5ct hot pink oval cut spinel, a 3.5ct cushion cut red-pink ruby and a collection of peach and mint coloured tourmalines.
As well as a wonderful opportunity to examine and discuss some of the rarest and most beautiful gemstones, our event also marked the start of a special collaboration with a well-known name in the jewellery world. We can’t wait to share more about this project with you, so watch this space for more details.
Thank you to everyone who came to the event, it was wonderful to celebrate and admire such stunning gemstones with you.
