After his girlfriend saw a ring she adored on our Instagram feed, Tristan secretly made the 200 mile journey from Chester to London to see us. Shortly after, lockdown hit, but we didn’t let this get in the way and continued working remotely with Tristan to create the perfect engagement ring. The central diamond was chosen via Zoom under Simon’s knowledgeable guidance and Emma sketched a selection of varying styles based on the original ring Hannah-May had first fallen for.

The finished piece, designed remotely in secret during lockdown, is a perfect celebration of the couple’s adventure so far. It features a cushion cut diamond and striking crossover diamond set band with beautiful blue tourmalines. To add an extra layer of sentiment, hidden inside the band are the couple’s birthstones and personal engravings. Once lockdown measures started to lift Tristan presented the ring to Hannah-May on top of a mountain in Greece. We are so pleased that our experience working on international commissions remotely meant that we were able to continue our excellent service throughout lockdown to ensure Tristan could propose with the perfect ring.
