Our client reached out with a clear vision: she wanted a bespoke dress ring that was distinctly hers, a piece of high-end jewellery that didn’t resemble an engagement ring. We jumped at the chance to bring her vision to life and presented her with a few design options for her chosen aquamarine gemstone.

The aquamarine, a stunning, large stone, added an exciting dimension to the design process. With its considerable weight, we focused on balancing the gemstone’s size with the amount of gold in the ring, aiming to create a piece she could comfortably wear often. This wasn’t just any ring; it was a gift to herself, celebrating her own style and individuality. Her daughters even joined as a “design committee,” offering insight and support behind the scenes.

After meticulous planning, we digitally designed the ring to sit perfectly around the aquamarine, with yellow gold chosen to subtly elevate the stone’s captivating colour. The final piece boasts sculptural elements that make it a truly one-of-a-kind ring. The semi rub over setting is a distinctive feature, offering a fresh twist on traditional ring settings and allowing the aquamarine to truly shine.
