Whilst travelling the world with his partner, Abbie, Charlie contacted us about designing a three-stone bespoke engagement ring. He was looking to remotely create a truly special ring and had been assured that we were the people to talk to. We were delighted to take on the challenge, working to his timeframe to ensure his bespoke engagement ring was ready in time for his return to the United Kingdom.
Charlie’s initial idea was an oval three-stone design, but as the process unfolded, he found himself drawn to the elegance of a cushion-cut central stone. To capture the best of both worlds, Simon sourced a beautifully elongated cushion-cut diamond that subtly echoed the length of an oval diamond whilst maintaining the soft curves of a cushion cut.
To help Charlie visualise the diamond’s brilliance, our production assistant, Ashleigh, filmed the stone on her hand, allowing him to see how it caught the light in real life. We truly believe in the importance of seeing a diamond’s true character, and so when working with a client remotely we always go the extra mile to ensure the beauty of every stone we present can be clearly viewed.
The final piece is a timeless three-stone engagement ring, featuring the elongated cushion-cut diamond at its centre, flanked by two round brilliant diamonds, all set in warm yellow gold. A design as elegant and enduring as the love story it represents.
Charlie proposed to Abbie in Devon followed by a celebration with family that evening. It was an honour to create a ring for such a meaningful moment, and we were thrilled to hear his kind words:
“A fantastic experience designing and bringing to life an engagement ring with Simon – all completely remote too! Thank you so much for all your help and guidance; would highly recommend to anyone seeking a quality engagement ring.”
