Our client came to us looking to create a truly special custom piece of jewellery for his partner’s milestone birthday. Unsure of exactly what type of jewellery he wanted for the gift, we provided a gallery of our previous creations for inspiration. After some discussion, we decided to focus on designing a bespoke ring.

Keen for the piece to complement his partner’s existing jewellery collection, we started this particular bespoke jewellery journey with the selection of the gemstones, in this case beautiful rubies. With various design concepts in mind, we curated an exquisite assortment of rubies, ranging from deep reds to vibrant pinks.

Richard met with the client and his partner to present the gemstones and explore design possibilities. She was captivated by the idea of a double halo ruby and diamond ring, and drawn to a particularly bright pink ruby. We considered multiple double halo options, eventually choosing a design featuring larger diamonds for the inner halo and smaller stones for the outer halo, alternating rubies and diamonds along the shoulders for a playful touch.

He presented the beautiful finished ring to her on her birthday, and we were over the moon to receive an ecstatic message expressing her delight with her stunning new bespoke creation – we have been told she has received countless compliments on her new ring.
