Custom Pear Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

For this overseas client, the entire custom pear cut diamond engagement ring commission was completed remotely, before he travelled to London to collect the finished ring and propose.

Recommended to W&W Jewellery through one of our existing clients, he came to us with a wonderfully clear idea of the engagement ring he wanted to create for his partner. He knew she loved a pear cut diamond, white metal, a diamond halo and additional diamonds set into the band – giving us a strong starting point from which to develop the design.

Providing our London bespoke jewellery service remotely, Simon sourced and presented a selection of pear-shaped diamonds through detailed photographs and videos. Beyond finding a beautiful stone, proportion was particularly important. The centre diamond needed to work harmoniously with the surrounding halo while creating the right overall scale for his partner’s finger.

Once he had selected his preferred diamond, Narell illustrated the proposed ring to scale. Using his partner’s ring size, the drawing allowed him to visualise how the proportions of the pear-shaped centre diamond, halo and diamond-set band would come together on the hand before the ring was made.

The final design was created in white gold, with the pear cut diamond framed by a delicate halo of round brilliant cut diamonds. Further diamonds extend along the shoulders of the band, creating continuous sparkle while allowing the distinctive shape and proportions of the centre stone to remain the focus.

Having completed the entire bespoke engagement ring process from overseas, our client finally travelled to London to collect the finished piece in person. Shortly after collecting the ring from us, he asked her to marry him in Hyde Park. A very special ending to a truly international bespoke engagement ring.
