We first met Sally when she entrusted us to transform a cherished family heirloom. Following this, Giles, planning to propose to Sally, contacted us with a special request. He wanted to create a vintage bespoke engagement ring that not only reflected their unique love story but also paid homage to the vintage piece we had reimagined for Sally.

From the outset, we collaborated closely with Giles, exploring various shapes, colour palettes, and combinations of stones. Initially, the bespoke design stayed close to the vintage inspiration, but as we progressed, it evolved into something uniquely theirs. We focused on selecting the perfect gemstones and materials, then meticulously refining the finer details of the ring. We presented Giles with a stunning selection of teal sapphires, each varying in tone and saturation, allowing him to choose the one that resonated most.

The final vintage bespoke engagement ring design is a testament to the beauty of bespoke jewellery craftsmanship. It features outer claw detailing – a nod to traditional jewellery design – yet the teal and rose gold colour scheme give the ring a fresh, contemporary feel. This combination of colours enhances the beauty of the gemstones, making the ring truly eye-catching. The shape and colour of Sally’s inherited piece are subtly echoed in the new ring, creating a meaningful connection between the past and the present.
