Following the recent social media takeover we ran with Sarah Moore, Presenter of Money for Nothing and specialist in all things recycled and up-cycled, we thought we’d give you the stories behind some of the remodelled pieces featured….
Adding a quirky finish to an engagement ring
After attending a jewellery design workshop with us last summer, our client felt inspired to reinvent her Solitaire Emerald Cut Diamond Engagement Ring. Her vision was to recreate the piece of jewellery into a three stone ring, with a quirky twist.
Our in-house designer, Emma, created several exciting design options that were presented to the client. The chosen design was to set Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds either side of the Emerald Cut adding juxtaposition in shapes to create the desired quirky finish.
The Diamonds remained set in Platinum to showcase their white colour, leading to a yellow gold band to add a hint of warmth.
Remodelled rubies
Our client came to us with two existing ruby stones; she wanted to use these to create two pretty pink pendants to present to her daughters as a special gift.
Knowing her preference for rose gold and love of nature, we designed and crafted two quite different pendants with a similar floral theme, featuring petal details as well as additional diamonds to highlight the beauty of the rubies. While both pendants are unique in design, they echo the same sentiments.
