Fine jewellery is one of life’s great pleasures. Created to be worn and enjoyed – a beautiful thing that provides countless years of joy and appreciation.
When it comes to commissioning custom jewellery, there can be a tendency to reserve its creation for special occasions – weddings, significant birthdays, gifts or milestone moments – but that doesn’t have to be the case. We are seeing a growing number of women commissioning their own dream jewel, for no other reason than they want to, and we are 100% here for it!
Masters of their own style, the pieces we create for these clients are beautiful in a way that transcends fashion. With the wearer as client and muse, these empowering bespoke creations encapsulate a pure desire for authentic distinctiveness, a custom jewel that speaks to and represents that person alone.
Over the years we have designed some incredible pieces, created purely to celebrate our clients. From gemstone encrusted pendants to statement rings, keep reading to explore the rise of the self-love jewellery movement…
The Colour of Life
A specific oceanic blue witnessed on our client’s travels formed the inspiration for this breath-taking bespoke ring. The luminous pear-cut cabochon Paraiba tourmaline was sourced from our specialist in rare and extraordinary gemstones, perfectly channelling that core memory from her special trip. With our client as muse, we created a free-spirited and elegant design around this outstanding gemstone, resulting in a unique custom ring that the entire W&W team fell in love with.
Beautifully encapsulating its owner, this striking “survival ring” channels our client’s story so far. The carefully considered design combines her innate sense of style and deep love of the sea, with ancient folklore of the powerful mermaid stone providing protection and safe passage.
This unbelievable pendant combines our dear client’s vision with Richard’s out-of-the-box creativity. Perfectly suited to her vibrant and charismatic personality, the basis of this extraordinary piece was an original, but tired, 1970 floral brooch, carefully sourced from America and reimagined to make Diana’s jewellery dreams come true.
